Mason-Lite fireplaces are tested to UL 127 Standards and are also listed with ICC (International Code Council). All chimney components are separately tested and listed.
3. Is the Mason-Lite fireplace system guaranteed not to smoke?
No fireplace can be guaranteed not to smoke. As these fireplaces are designed and tested for maximum performance, they will offset any exterior atmospheric conditions that may exist. Interior negative pressure can cause performance issues in extreme circumstances.
5. Do I need to have a mason install my unit? Any Mason-Lite fireplace installed in your home should be installed by a trained technician schooled in the procedures of installing a Mason-Lite fireplace.
6. How can I finish the fireplace?
The Mason-Lite fireplace façade can be finished with any of the following noncombustible products, typically at a thickness of 1¼": brick, marble, tile or stone. The exterior may be finished with the same noncombustible products, including wood siding as long as proper clearances are adhered to according to the installation instructions.
6. Can I burn gas logs in the Mason-Lite fireplace?
Yes. The Mason-Lite fireplace is tested and approved for the use of both wood and gas fires.
7. What sizes are the Mason-Lite fireplaces available in?
Mason-Lite factory built masonry fireplaces are available in three different sizes of 39”, 44” and 49”.

Yes, the Mason-Lite fireplaces are manufactured to be used in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Yes, our fireplaces do require a chimney. They must be installed with an approved class A metal chimney system with an approved damper.
10. What are the minimum and maximum fireplace heights for the Mason-Lite fireplace?
When installed, the maximum overall height of the Mason-Lite fireplace is 80 feet. The minimum installation height is 14 feet, given that the chimney is straight. If the chimney is not straight, the measurement is 17 feet.
11. Can I use the Mason-Lite fireplace as a primary heat source for my home?
No, the Mason-Lite fireplace is not designed to serve as a primary heat source; rather the fireplace was expressly created as a supplemental source of heat.
